I completed Ravenheart Gloom that gives the Torment Gem ...

We had 1 monk 1 Rit (Me) 2 Necro's Bip and SS, 3 Ele's and 1 Ele Earth Tank. We made 12+ attempts and wiped on the first quest before we got our aggro down to a minimum.

Honestly how does the scribe expect 8 people to control a mob of 40 to 50+ level 28 guys rushing you at once and suggest you spike damage individuals of that mob?

Quote:
from Gwiki
(an explanation of the first quest)
The approaching demon horde will be massive. No less than 10 waves (some as small as three some as large as six) and assault the party furiously. It is advised that the party tanks hold position around the little bend that leads into the crack where the patrol is hiding, as such forcing enemies to be stuck in them as they try to go around the corner to get to softer targets. The demons have an array of skills that can counter many defensive approaches such as heavy enchantment removal and stance breaking.
It was a miracle we survived that assault. I doubt a balanced team could ever hold it. It was one of the most unfun adverture/quest I've ever done in GW... really ANET increase the party size please.

Been mapping around the rest of GWs, all 3 games are down as far as districts in major towns - funny that this happened this week. I'm guessing ppl have voted with their feet. Wondering how ppl are saying there are more playing GWs these days - haven't noticed it in American districts.
It is a weekday and it is finals week for many students.

Our pug group of Tank/Nuker/Monk & 1 necro completed the City quest in 3 hours, which is actually shorter than completing UW (5 hours) and about the same as FOW.
I hate to inform you that the City is one of the shortest of the four....
Technically, Gloom is the shortest, and City close second.

Stygian and Foundry are much, MUCH longer.

So don't get into a PUG to do a very hard mission.
Of course they are going to discriminate people for the stupidest reasons, since they are teaming up with total strangers.
If you have read my posts, we are having success with no regard of LB ranks, and pretty free on builds our teammates bring other than few essential skills.

I think the most of the frustration of DoA people are having comes from PUGs miserably failing at the mission over and over and over.
I don't know why people insist on PUGing, rather than making friends in the game, and getting together with them.
Either join a guild, talk with your alliance people, add people you met into the friend's list..... and build a team.
These missions aren't designed to be done with random people who can't work together, and easily frustrated in the first place.

From my experience, trap/nuke combination makes stygian long, when in reality trapping isn't really needed, but serves as nice safety net. Unfortunately, few are prepared to try new things, and since strategy has been posted, just about every group goes in with same build.

With little to no counters, a full dps team can move much faster through there, especially considering the total number of mobs to kill.

Casual gamers have a real life which takes presidents over a computer game, and ergo the reason why they feel it's futile making friends in a game they only play for limited time, there in the game to get there moneys worth, to play "PvE" and leave, they won't likely be coming back until the next chapter.

What if your guild mates don't want to or alliance members for that matter? most of the ones I've spoken too, don't want anything to do with the place, due to it's nature and time to complete it, I and they have better things to accomplish with there time, only option for those people is PuGs.

If you can make friends in-game you have no real life?
Well, that's very insulting.

We still have not heard any apologies from your blatant flaming accusing others of lying, and we still see you flaming and insulting people left and right.

Sorry, that's how I took it.
If that's not what he meant to say, then I'll apologize.
I'm kind of fed up with him insulting people on this thread, over and over, and may have overreacted due to his name...

That's not what I said, and apologies ? sorry but I don't give apologies for my opinion, at best you'll only get consideration for your own opinion from me.

How is accusing someone, who was just posting a screenshot, of being a liar an opinion?

You know what is going to basically your undoing, after you finish all the quests done and you are able to get the elite mission for Mallyx the Undying at his Ebony Citadel; you will have to eventually find a team of people to do it. That is going to be the real pain. Hopefully things will change in about a month or so after “Wintersday.”

P.S. Your showing the names of other players in your screenshot Kenagalaz.
